UA Begins New Strategic Planning Process

The University of Arizona is aiming to position itself as true leaders in higher education under its new strategic plan.

Led by UA President, Robert C. Robbins, the UA plans to better student enrollment, retention and graduation rates while also looking to elevate research activity and productivity.

Critically, the UA will build on its strength as a leading research institution, and a university that’s committed to student-centered education. Today, UA students receive an extraordinary student experience, as evidenced by recent Gallup findings. 9 out of 10 UA alumni say their education was worth the cost.

In addition, initiatives such as 100% Engagement have helped Wildcats reach a new level of career success in job and graduate school markets. Data shows students who graduated with an engagement course or utilized career offerings earned on average 14 percent more (approximately $7,500) in starting salaries than peers who did not. In addition, engaged students were more likely to be accepted into graduate school, find employment, and work in a field related to their career interests.

Moving forward, the UA will look to remain one of the world’s best public institution and transform into a university that is one of even higher prominence and influence.
