PlantEd Culinary Workshops Promote UA Student Health & Wellness

Student health and wellness matters at the University of Arizona. Recently, the UA Student Union launched a culinary cultivation series to acknowledge this fact. PlantEd is designed to provide students with the cooking skills and nutrition education to thrive in college.

The culinary series explores different foods, how to prepare them, and their nutrition benefits. Students will have the opportunity to taste recipes prepared by Senior Executive Chef Omo, and receive recipe information, as well as nutrition tips from Registered Dietician, Christine Carlson.

PlantED emerges at a critical time for many UA students. 9 out of 10 Wildcats agreed that health and well-being is a priority in their lifestyle, according to a recent UA survey. In addition, 8 out of 10 students agreed that their well-being and academics are closely connected.

PlantEd is open to all students, staff, and faculty. To learn more about the PlantED program and to look at a schedule of upcoming workshops, click here
