98 Percent of Transfer Students Recommend the UA

According to a recent report by Assessment & Report, 98 percent of transfer students would recommend the University of Arizona to other students.

Transfer students are a vital part of the UA, as evidenced by the University’s efforts to create initiatives that better serve the needs of transfer students.

These initiatives include the UA Bridge program, STU 210: Transfer Strategies, a course designed to transition transfer students to the UA, and increased services and programming at the Transfer Student Center.

In the next few years, experts expect the number of transfer students enrolled in colleges and universities to continue to grow. By 2025, the transfer student enrollment in community colleges are projected to grow from 6.5 to 8.2 million students. Given that nearly 46% of students who completed a degree at a four-year institution were previously enrolled in a two-year institution, there is a pressing need for universities to improve their transfer process.

The UA has anticipated these needs and in the near future, plans to create an Office of Transfer Credit and Articulation to provide students with transfer credit and articulation services.
